Delete Your Account

You can delete your Praneya account at any time. When you do, your account is deactivated immediately and all personally identifiable health data is permanently erased from our systems within 30 days.

How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: Delete in the Praneya App (Recommended)

1. Open the Praneya app on your iOS or Android device.
2. Tap Profile in the bottom navigation bar.
3. Tap Settings (the gear icon in the top-right corner).
4. Scroll down and tap Privacy & Data.
5. Tap Delete Account.
6. Read the confirmation screen and tap Delete my account permanently.
7. Your account is deactivated immediately. You will be signed out and cannot sign back in.

Option 2: Request by Email

If you cannot access the app, email us at privacy@praneya.com with the subject line Account Deletion Request. Include the email address associated with your Praneya account. We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 7 business days.

What Happens to Your Data

Deleted immediately

• Your account credentials and login access
• Your health profile (age, sex, height, weight, family history, lifestyle data)
• All blood test results, biomarker values, and lab history
• Wearable and biometric readings (heart rate, blood pressure, activity data)
• Wellness diary entries
• Uploaded PDF and image files
• Push notification tokens

Permanently erased within 30 days

All personally identifiable health data is permanently deleted from our production database and file storage within 30 days of your deletion request being confirmed.

Retained for up to 90 additional days

Encrypted database backups are rotated on a 90-day cycle. Your data may persist in encrypted backup snapshots for up to 90 days after production deletion, after which it is fully erased across all systems. These backups cannot be used to restore your data after account deletion.

Not deleted

• Aggregate, de-identified analytics: Statistical trends derived from your data (e.g., “average lipid values across all users”) cannot be re-associated with you and are not deleted.
• Legal and financial records: Transaction records, invoices, and fraud-prevention logs may be retained for up to 7 years as required by applicable law.
• Doctor-shared reports: If you previously shared a report with a healthcare provider, a copy may exist in their records outside Praneya’s systems. We cannot delete data held by third parties at your direction.

Subscription Cancellation

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription purchased through the App Store or Google Play. To avoid future charges, cancel your subscription through your device’s subscription settings before deleting your account:

• iOS (App Store): Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Praneya → Cancel
• Android (Google Play): Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Praneya → Cancel subscription

We do not issue refunds for unused subscription periods. If you believe you are owed a refund, contact Apple or Google directly through their standard refund processes.
